Wind energy is an environmental and financial fraud. Even worse than utility scale onshore wind is floating offshore wind, which California's state legislature will spend billions to subsidize. Unions should support projects with practical value - those, too, create good jobs.
The jaw-dropping quantity of energy and resources required to construct just a single wind turbine. But let's keep pretending these expensive, inefficient, bird and bat slaying monstrosities are "green" and "environmentally-friendly". 🤡
Thank you @DominicJPino !
Iron law of journalism: Always read @edring when he writes about water. We're happy to publish his latest @NRO nationalreview.com/2025/07/the-gr…
I served in the PA Bureau at State under W. PA was the dumping ground of every employee who refused to work but could not be fired. There some great & knowledgeable & dedicated career staff with 80% bloat. As a political appointee, you needed private insurance because if you…
HAPPENING NOW!! Moving scene - tears, hugs, and cheers - inside the State Dept HQ tonight, as diplomats gathered in the lobby to clap out their laid off colleague, some of which have served for decades 👇🏻
Squatters have TAKEN OVER lots in LA fire zones, and the owners can’t remove them.. WTF is wrong with California..!?
California's Reformulated Gasoline standards can be relaxed to federal standards because since 2000, vehicles have emissions that are reduced 98 percent from 1990 levels. If these obsolete standards were scrapped, California could import refined gasoline. californiaglobe.com/fr/ringside-on…
It is hard to avoid hyperbole when viewing such drivel. The only reason to offer voting rights to children is because they are more easily manipulated. Keir Starmer, like his counterparts in America, has NO credibility, and is wreaking what may be irreparable harm to his nation.
BREAKING: Keir Starmer announces that the UK is lowering the voting age from 18 to 16 in all UK elections.
It’s easier to neglect public amenities and blame it on climate change than it is to confront and reexamine government budget priorities. Progressivism in California is a grift. The only aspect of progressive ideology that is authentic is its nihilism. amgreatness.com/2025/07/16/cal…
Wonderful and horrifying. Humanoid robots are here.
It's happening. Robots are getting crazy good. Robots now perform complex jobs on their own. And they are getting smarter, flexible, and quick to adapt. 10 wild examples: 1. Robot running scary well in China
This is despicable. A license now required for an inner tube on a river in Oregon. Even California isn’t this petty. Mass noncompliance is called for.
Oregon Democrats passed a New Water Law - HB 2982 Starting Jan 1, 2026, a Kayak, paddle board, and even your inner tube counts as a BOAT in Oregon. If you do not have a permit you will face a $115 fine “Because our government wants the money for people to float in the river”
With a return to reasonable regulations and priorities, California can have not just abundant, but hyper-abundant water. @TayFromCA @cagop @joerogan @mikeroweworks @WillSwaim @adamcarolla nationalreview.com/2025/07/the-gr…
With water in California, not just abundance, but hyper-abundance is possible.
The real possibility of a hyper-abundance of water holds out the promise of a grand bargain that unites environmentalists with California’s businesses and households. | @edring trib.al/kV7gRZ9
This is also true for state and local government employees and especially in states and locales ran by progressives. The comment omits the role of public sector unions causing the problem but is otherwise right on.
There once was a time in America where being a federal civil servant truly was a sacrifice. You knew you were making less than you could in the private sector, but you felt a duty to your country anyway. This sort of selfless attitude was a great source of pride to such…
Well said, and equally true in America.
Sir Mark Rowley's remarks are a case study in modern institutional self-flagellation: a public servant bending over backwards to show contrition for problems he didn't cause, in a desperate bid to earn the trust of communities that have, in many cases, turned their backs on the…
This has been the case for decades. I was the best student in my high school. I was the Valedictorian. My SAT score was perfect. Four of us from my high school were interviewed by a local alumnus of Princeton: me, two Asian girls, and a black girl, from our school, the top…
Marc Andreessen: if you're the parents of a smart kid where I grew up [rural Wisconsin] and you think you're going to get them into a top university in this country, you're fooling yourself... What level of untapped talent exists in this country that a combination of DEI and…
If there is anything that might constitute an overwhelming institutional consensus in California, it’s that we are experiencing climate change, and that one of the consequences will be more rain, less snow, and more so-called whiplash between very wet years and very dry years.…
I just wasted several minutes trying to see if ChatGPT would answer any sensitive question without reverting to partisan talking points. The predictability and bias in its responses were literally nauseating. This implacable nonentity, programmed by partisans, is our future?
The challenge of financing water infrastructure is tied to the politics. Costly regulations and a litigation friendly environment are political choices. Almost as directly, accepting projected yields that barely utilize the diversion capacity of a water supply project is also a…
