children, birds and horses. obstinate, headstrong girl.
Typical clinic day now includes a 2-year-old who only has 5 words, an 8-year-old with new-onset obesity, and a preschool-age child with no social skills from being home bound. A disastrous avalanche of child health probs of our own making—not “from the pandemic.” @AmerAcadPeds
“While all may seem hopeless” 🙄 Pretty nakedly partisan, @AmerAcadPeds and @DrSueKressly

Husband has to have a minor procedure done and the pre-op receptionist be like “any exposure to Covid in the past 4 weeks?” SERIOUSLY in 2025?!? (it was all I could do to keep my mouth shut and only cos he gave me a pre-emptive warning look lol)
In just about every true crime documentary I have watched where the crime took place 2020 or later, the suspect is wearing what law enforcement always describes as a “COVID mask” to avoid detection. Normalizing forever-masking was an enormous mistake—for so many reasons.
Riding a horse in the sunshine is the absolute best way to get sweaty and dirty (with clothes on 😇)
Honestly, this is my new fave X account to follow. Good advice every day, no scams or trying to sell you weird stuff. 🌞
We take too much for granted. Some people wake up to war. Some people wake up in pain. Some people wake up alone. If you woke up safe, loved, and able to chase something you care about, you’re already ahead. Gratitude hits different when you zoom out. Perspective is everything.
In Vegas about 10 years ago, I was walking outside when I caught sight of a handsome guy in the distance, leaning against the Bellagio fountain. My brain registered “cute guy!” about a split second before I realized that I was, in fact, married to that particular cute guy. Just a…

Loneliness is part of the human condition, and especially part of childhood. When I was lonely in elementary school, I would wander outside to see what other neighborhood kids were around. When I felt lonely in college, I would hook the door to my single open and chat with…

I don’t…quite understand the giant-rooster-in-the-yard phenomenon 🐓
I just don’t think this is a good look (or smart choice) for @Harvard

Please let this be a thing
Today, I introduced the Bipartisan Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) Reform Act. For decades, PBMs have been STEALING patients’ hope and health. As a pharmacist, I’ve seen firsthand the heartbreaking impact of PBMs— forcing families to choose between groceries and medicine. It’s…
This is such great advice. I reinvented my career at age 45—took a sudden, unplanned exit from being an employed doc in a private practice in favor of academic medicine and clinic work. I am almost always not just happy when I walk out of work, but exhilarated. I feel so lucky to…
Major cheat code in life: Understanding you can reinvent yourself at any time. New habits, new standards, new friend group, new career, etc. There's no rule that says you have to stay the person you've always been. You're allowed to decide––"I'm done being this version of me."
