July 29 1974 London Mama Cass Elliot 32, formerly of the legendary Mamas & Papas, Mama Cass d. in her sleep (heart attack) in a London apt owned by Harry Nilsson. 4 yrs later Sept. 7 1978, Keith Moon, drummer for The Who, Also 32 yrs old, Keith Moon would die IN THE SAME APT!

July 28 2021 Texas-born Dusty Hill, ZZ Top's One & Only Bass Player Since 1969, Dusty Hill d. at 72. Dusty was the shorter of the 2 ZZ guys w/the long beards. "I said Lord take me downtown, I'm just lookin' for some Tush." Dusty Hill sang lead on that ZZ Classic. R&R HOF.

July 25 1977 After a Led Zeppelin concert in Oakland CA, Robert Plant learns that his 5 yr old son Karac has d. in The UK. The rest of the US Tour is cancelled, including 2 Pittsburgh shows Aug. 9th & 10th 1977, Civic Arena. Led Zeppelin would never perform in The US again.

Thursday July 24 2025 In The 1980's I was a DJ at The Pittsburgh Intrntl Airport HoJo's. And when The WWF came to The Civic Arena, they'd all stay at The Airport HoJo's. Andre The Giant, Hulk Hogan, Rowdy Roddy Piper, The Iron Sheik, I saw them all. Hulk Hogan 71 Is Gone.
