Wrapping up winter canola. Despite, or maybe because of the drought, it averaged better than my winter wheat right next to it. And it was worth something until you Canadians got rain 😉

Am I the only one who thinks the radar sensitivity has been turned up way too much the last year or two. I have a gauge at the black mark, .2” (2/10)Gauges in several other fields under the red. Not even measurable. Pink used to mean 2” and flash flooding here…..@NWSPocatello

Second only to lawyers, these type of people are the scum of the earth in my opinion. You Midwest guys have probably been dealing with this for years. It’s relatively new in my area.

Do any other farm owners give all the harvest help Sundays off and just enjoy the peace and solitude of solo cutting. Helps me remember what I love about this life. More gratitude and thankfulness than a church pew would give me.

It's slightly easier than 132' sprayer booms, but turning combines with 45' headers and long augers around in canyons like this is a little tricky too.

You know it's been damn dry when you've started harvest, and yet you are still glad to see it's capable of raining somewhere near you. Lucked out and missed this one. Hope it hits a month from now.

Snow just barely above the spring wheat this morning. Not a lot of water, but grateful for the .1 - .2” we got. Fingers crossed we can keep the temps out of the 20’s tonight.

My wife says she is deleting all my weather apps and NWS bookmarks and follows. This getting a fraction of the forecasted amount is frustrating the hell out of me.

Winter canola and winter wheat in the morning sun. Both still have great potential despite only .03” of rain for April. Hopefully May and June is different

Any guesses on which aluminum repair job was me with a spool gun and a pro with a TIG. I think the they are similar 😂😉

We are pretty good at growing potential. Mother Nature just refuses to cooperate sometimes.
