Excited about this @ozsinglecells hackathon that we're hosting in Sydney in December. If you're interested in temporal dynamics, stem cells or Scale Bioscience data, fill out an expression of interest. DM if you have any specific questions about the event. Please RT
Calling all researchers interested in developing better tools for understanding cellular dynamics across time in single cell experiments. We’re hosting the Oz Single Cell Hackathon 9-10 Dec in Sydney. Fill out EOI before 10 Oct! Travel awards available docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAI…

To all my fellow Americans out there, please remember and make time to have your opinions heard tomorrow by going to vote.
Time's running out to submit an expression of interest for the 2024 @ozsinglecells hackathon in Sydney Dec 9-10! Will use Scale Bio data from stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes to develop tools for temporal dynamics. Don't miss out, submit an EOI by Oct 15: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAI…

Don't miss out on the @ozsinglecells hackathon Dec 9-10 in Sydney! It's going to be fun jam-packed days looking at temporal dynamics using Scale Bio data from stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes. We've extended the EOI deadline to Oct 15: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAI…

Absolutely thrilled to receive this Data Insights grant with @drjosephpowell from @ChanZuckerberg! This will allow us to continue our work understanding contributions to variation in health and disease at single cell resolution.
Garvan researchers Dr Drew Neavin and Prof Joseph Powell have been awarded a prestigious Data Insights grant from @ChanZuckerberg. The funding will support their groundbreaking 18-month project, SNAPSHOT, aimed at understanding cellular variation in health and disease.
SCimilarity looks absolutely fascinating. I’ve always been a bit concerned about cell types missing from a selected reference dataset and leveraging many datasets with diverse cell types is a fantastic advancement. Keen to try it out on my next single-cell dataset!
Ever analyze a scRNAseq dataset and wonder if a specific cell state has been seen before? And if so, where in the human body? Under what conditions? Well, now you can use our lightning fast SCimilarity search and foundational model for that! ⚡️🔎🧬 biorxiv.org/content/10.110… (1/11)
Very excited to be part of this conversation series hosted by @the_ASSCR alongside @cbazodi! Tune in for a discussion on stem cell ‘villages’ next Wednesday.
Join us for the next National Stem Cell Conversations Wed 3rd Aug at 11am AEDT featuring Dr Drew Neavin @drneavin @GarvanInstitute & Dr Christina Azodi @cbazodi @SVIResearch discussing “Functional annotation and population genomic studies in iPSCs". @StemCellsAus @AusStemCell
I'm getting very excited about the @ISSCR annual meeting next week! I'll be attending in person so let me know if you're keen to connect.
