Just reflecting on the @NAHT_NI leadership conference, feeling truly inspired. The compassion, insight and dedication from our school leaders was nothing short of motivating. Together, we’re shaping a more sustainable way of working and a brighter future for education here.
What an opportunity this is. Our children and schools really need this to deliver change.

We’ve grown used to permitting/overlooking what should shame us in Northern Ireland. But surely, this abhorrent moment demands us to change.

The integrity of our profession - and the dignity of our members - is on the line. We will not stand-by and see school leaders being treated with contempt and their union representatives subjected to a witch-hunt and victimised @NAHT_IsleOfMan @NAHTnews @CymruNAHT @NAHT_NI
NAHT Isle of Man members are being balloted for industrial action following the victimisation of union officials on the island. The ballot is now open and voting papers will arrive with those Isle of Man members eligible for ballot on Thursday.
Solidarity with our members on the Isle of Man. Every child deserves the best education, and that begins with a profession that is valued, supported and respected. Victimisation of NAHT trade union officials will not be tolerated.

This is very welcome. NAHT has been seeking a review of the CFF for many years (it is one of the recommendations from the school leader workload review). We are pleased that the Minister has taken this on, and we are looking forward to engaging fully in the process.

What we are witnessing is the entirely predictable result of a decade of chronic underfunding. We continue to encourage members to engage constructively to explore what may be possible, but system failure cannot be resolved through coercion or blame.

Shocking behaviour on the Isle of Man has directly and inevitably led to another crisis. Solidarity ✊ “We will not stand-by and see school leaders being treated with contempt and their union representatives subjected to a witch-hunt and victimised.” naht.org.uk/News/Latest-co…
Our campaign for schools funding has been relentless. We will not stop until education receives the investment it so desperately needs. Kids only get one shot at education. @NAHTnews @NAHT_NI @CymruNAHT observer.co.uk/news/national/…
We stand with @NAHT_Cymru in defending school leaders from unfair public criticism. Suggesting headteachers are financially irresponsible without recognising the strain of underfunded budgets is deeply unjust. An apology is due.
As if things are not challenging enough for school leaders, they have to be so publicly blamed… Yet they deliver, day in day out for children and young people across Wales and I could be more proud to support them 👏 @CymruNAHT

Standing with our members on the Isle of Man, advocating for a fairer, more inclusive education system. Your dedication inspires us all.
Today I’ve written to the Minister and Chief Executive calling for an urgent meeting to avoid an escalation of a dispute. Let’s hope that common sense prevails.
