This article on working at an SEND school should be mandatory reading for everyone working in schools.

Why would you want to break the link between background and education? (A) it's impossible and (B) Surely you want parents to play an ever-growing and positive part in their children's outcomes. It's almost as if you don't know what you're talking about.
