One of the most impactful parts of the symposium for me was the Champions session, celebrating the leaders and trailblazers driving progress in neurosurgery. From Sierra Leone to Syria, Nepal to Kenya — each story a reminder of what it takes to build something meaningful.

We celebrated the journeys, discoveries, and stories from 15 global neurosurgery leaders in our Symposium's Champions session. No matter where they came from, they were dedicated to advancing the field of neurosurgery. I'm so grateful to have been a part of it.

In 2018, Bonnie suffered a major stroke. Thanks to rapid action & a catheter-based intervention by our Brigham team, she made a full recovery. Now she’s back to what matters: traveling, making memories, & enjoying life with her grandson.

Kenya – no bridge too far. Working with @AfgAmCO & @NeuroKids50, my team is sending operative cameras to Kenya to train Afghan surgeons, bridging gaps & bringing vital knowledge back to their patients. Excited to make healthcare more accessible globally! 💪🌍

Tech allows those in our industry to connect globally even more intricately than ever before. Surgeons in Afghanistan are now leveraging an innovative and bi-lateral approach through Zoom & smart glasses to bring expert knowledge directly to the operating room on both sides. 🌍💻
