First crop of apples from the orchard. Stewed apple & custard for dessert later.

Day 4 of a 5 day heart monitor and the itch from the sensor pads is driving me mad
Will second-level teachers who are ASTI members get this pay increase as well or are they still on the naughty step after standing up for their students and voting against Senior Cycle reform (unlike many TUI members who voted for it)? #edchatie
Pay increase effective from 1st August 2025 tinyurl.com/bddakje3
My new #hoff trainers I bought in @CordnersShoes sale last week. Really comfortable #Cork

Return trip to Bon Secours hospital today to have a 5 day holter monitor fitted. Six hours away from home including hospital appointment and a stop for lunch. Not bad at all
Really disappointed with the government’s decision to reverse the €1000 reduction in student contribution fees making education that bit more inaccessible to some. How many families can’t afford the contribution fee and also don’t qualify for SUSI for whatever reason?
My four lads (17 - 22) had a meet up today. First time they organised something like that amongst themselves. Living in Cavan, Dublin & Wexford so they met in Co. Wicklow. Movie & an Eddie Rockets. I’m so thrilled they wanted to do that 🥰 #proud

Cavan looking moody. Waiting to collect son from the Dublin bus. One hour round trip to collect him - #ruralIreland

Back at my usual spot for working. #MyDunLaoghaire is looking well today.

So true ❤️ Love your fucking life ❤️
We get one life, don't waste it.
In today’s newspaper the relevant ministers are quoted as saying no decision has been made - or has it?
Trinity College Dublin has begun sending out invoices for the next academic year to students for more than €3,000 rte.ie/news/2025/0709…
I didn’t think I could be shocked at this stage but that is truly horrific.
If only my ancestors in Ireland could have stopped the boats in both 1170 and especially 1610.
