I joined fellow FMs in the Plenary Session focused on advancing 46th ASEAN Summit decisions & shaping the ASEAN Community’s future. My message was clear: ASEAN must prioritize strong economic growth, aim to become a leading digital hub, and deepen people-to-people connections.

🇬🇧 and 🇻🇳 co-chaired the ASEAN Post-Ministerial Conference with 🇬🇧 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. 🇬🇧 Foreign Secretary Lammy emphasised: “An effective 🇬🇧-ASEAN partnership will not only drive growth but also enable us to tackle global issues together.”

At the EAS FMM, we reaffirmed that the EAS is pivotal in promoting multilateralism and a rules-based order. As we navigate rapid regional and global shifts, further enhancing its effectiveness is essential to realize ASEAN’s 2045 Vision.

Had the pleasure to meet @NewZealandMFA again here in Kuala Lumpur. It is always fantastic to see such strong progress in 🇻🇳🇳🇿 relations. We discussed further expanding market access for agricultural goods, enhancing education cooperation, and continuing ODA support to 🇻🇳.

#AMM2025 provided me the opportunity to meet @SecLazaro, and welcome her new role as 🇵🇭 Foreign Secretary. We agreed to further strengthen our Strategic Partnership, focusing on cooperation in defense-security, trade, maritime affairs, education, and people-to-people exchange.

Glad to connect with 🇩🇿FM Ahmed Attaf here in Kuala Lumpur to discuss 🇻🇳-🇩🇿relations. We talked about exploring cooperation opportunities in areas of mutual interest such as energy, trade, construction, mining, pharmaceuticals, Halal industries, and agriculture. @Algeria_MFA

A good meeting with 🇦🇺FM @SenatorWong, where we talked about deepening bilateral ties and Australia–Mekong cooperation. I also had the chance to touch on opportunities to expand agricultural labor cooperation and digital economy collaboration. 🇻🇳🤝🇦🇺

🇯🇵 is a trusted partner of 🇻🇳, especially in the new era of national advancement. In my meeting with 🇯🇵 FM Iwaya Takeshi, we explored new pillars of cooperation in science and technology, innovation, and high-quality workforce development.

Talks went well with 🇨🇭FM @ignaziocassis. Viet Nam and Switzerland share strong economic complementarities, and deeper trade ties will only bring greater mutual benefits. The first step is moving forward on the Viet Nam–EFTA Free Trade Agreement negotiation rounds.

Always a pleasure to speak with 🇨🇳FM Wang Yi. Our discussion revolved around reaffirming strategic importance of 🇻🇳-🇨🇳 bilateral ties and advancing cooperation in railway connectivity, innovation, and peaceful, cooperative border management.
