1385 days since the Taliban banned teenage girls from school. 925 days since they barred women from university. This will go down as one of the great betrayals of the 21st century. A generation of girls, locked out, while the world looked away.
Delighted to have pressed the send button to my publisher (Cinnamon Press) for my second full-length collection, Devil’s Piece. Out in Spring 2026. Devil’s Piece was a piece of land left fallow by farmers so that supernatural powers didn’t bring ill luck to the rest of the farm.
Huge thanks to @NorthSeaPoets for their Poetry Fundamentals weeks - finally caught up with the last recording today. Tried to watch each session live but pesky anxiety and dogs got in the way. Ta too to keeper of the Zoom - Miriam - a marvellous job. Learned lots, drafts done
