PostDoc @Rutgers | System Neuroscientist studying spiking activity, LFPs, and EEG in primary sensory and prefrontal cortex
🎉Excited to share that I'm speaking at @VSSMtg today (at 4pm in Talk Room 2). My first ever talk at VSS! I'll present the latest findings from my ambitious project, where I (try to) predict V1 spike dynamics using non-invasive EEG in Macaques. #VSS2024 🐒🧠🎙️

🚀Excited to share our preprint is now in #JNeurosci @SfNJournals! We show that #OFC high-gamma isn't just aggregated spiking (or noise)—it reflects #value and #decision components that spikes alone don’t capture! 🔗tinyurl.com/hgspikes With @McGintyNeuro @shira_lupkin
Excited to share my first lead-author study on #biorxiv! A quick🧵: We find that OFC LFPs have surprising value- & decision-coding properties that aren't found in spikes. This work is of interest to both neuroscientists studying decision behavior and engineers developing #BMIs 1/
Happy to connect with so many great BCI researchers at my first @BciSociety meeting! Super well-organized – big kudos to the team.👏 Looking forward to more!
With over 500 delegates in attendance, the BCI Meeting was a tremendous success. A heartfelt thank you to all of you for the engaging discussions, meaningful exchanges, and the great energy throughout the event.
🎇A happy update🎇: The final version our paper is live on J Neurosci! We show that gamma rhythms in orbitofrontal cortex have surprising properties in value-based choice. Check out the link at @SfNJournals , or see below for the short-and-sweet . . . jneurosci.org/content/45/20/…
Thanks for spreading the word! @decisionneurop
Orbitofrontal High-Gamma Reflects Spike-Dissociable Value and Decision Mechanisms jneurosci.org/content/45/20/…
🎉There's a new doctor in the world!🎉 A warm congratulations to @dixitsheron, PhD. I'm proud of you! You’ve come so far, and we’re excited to see how far you’ll go. Thanks to @SmithLabNeuro for serving as outside examiner, and to Denis Pare for serving as chair.
Deeply proud and grateful for everything the lab has accomplished this year. Thank you @dixitsheron, @emirhana85 , Tevin, and Anne - and a shout out to @shira_lupkin on her new adventures in Chicago!
🎉 Overjoyed to share my first lead-author study! This work marks the first step in my quest to innovate minimally invasive #BMIs - my lifelong goal! It was never possible w/o the unwavering support of my amazing mentor @McGintyNeuro and labmate @shira_lupkin. Deep thanks ❤️

🚨 It’s official! Our paper describing a novel value-based decision paradigm for 🐵 is now out at @eLife 🚨 elifesciences.org/articles/78205 Huge shoutout to my awesome PI, @McGintyNeuro, for all of his guidance and support! Here’s a quick preview 🧵 1/
🥂Out this week in @NatureNeuro with @shira_lupkin🥂: Our study on how values are represented in populations of primate orbitofrontal neurons, and how these value signals are “read out” downstream to influence economic choices. Read it here ➡️ rdcu.be/dqpBZ

New preprint with @cjahn_neuro on how the brain learns to control attention in a changing environment! We find attention is learned incrementally from reward feedback, and it maps stimuli into a generalized space that can guide decisions in many settings. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
