Godkiller and the Athena sword both predate the New 52. IIRC she started using the sword alot after Identity Crisis
I had problems with the New 52 but I appreciate the way they tried to bring change and stakes into comics again. I find most of the people who hated the New 52 are angry that someone tried to tell a story instead of play to Nostalgia.
I think it's top to bottom gross, greyed out, and nihilist tripe. Snyderverse was the nadir of comic book cinema. It was the result of some whiny prat reading watchman and having it go way over his head.
I think it depends on the perspective you look at this but regardless their characters are relatively similar. I give points to Norrin just bc Shalla-Bal's character is kinda just taking concepts from Norrin's comic counterpart and applying it to her version for this film
It’s not a gender swap, she literally exist in the comics. Cry more
well this is an ALTERNATE UNIVERSE which Shalla Bal (Norrins wife) became silver surfer they both kind of are the true silver surfer

In The animated show ( JLU ) she almost killed a car jacker, and hadda be stopped my Martian manhunter. If you don't count animated shows, it's pretty much the same in the comics. An example is the Ed Benes run of avengers ( i forgot the writer-
