Hold on- if I were a CFO I’d drive the storyline, leverage pressure to help give cover for changes, sneak in a levy increase, and come out the hero. It’s not a bad strategy.
IMHO, the fiscal cliff narrative is being driven by folks who look at aggregate data and have limited exp with how actual district finances or CFOs operate. This can make it easy to get fooled into thinking something is a big prob when it's probably not....

We were very clear when we built the OLR. Evaluate the impact, provide clear, actionable data to districts, build a support network, evaluate programs and share successes. We took the Triage, Transition, Transformation analogy and ran with it. @OLR_NCDPI @ncpublicschools
Did we inform schools about the "transformation" part, or did advocacy slip that in later? They were busy with other fires if I recall.
