as far as im concerned david shor and team are the only real “political scientists” in the world. they do ml work that’s more interesting and careful than many major tech companies, as part of a fascinating technological arms race between the parties

We’ve seen a proliferation of fringe ideas on the left and right (support for Luigi, Andrew Tate fandom, being pro-Russia , explicit antisemitism, etc) among Zoomers that literally did not exist a decade ago and empirically seem be associated with poor mental health
I worked with @davidshor for years and 💯 agree. Shor is going to find novel and effective ways to use AI to solve problems. It will be a fun ride where you would learn a lot.
