Major players associations stand strongly against any proposal to provide an antitrust exemption or legal liability shield for the NCAA and the schools that make up its membership. Rules that would amount to antitrust violations at the pro level are allowable because they are…

You can only build that type of collective bargaining with an anti-trust exemption
More & more people in college athletics are finally admitting this. A model with employment and collective bargaining is the way to move forward for high level college 🏈, 🏀 , and potentially other sports as well. It’s the best way to bring the structure everyone wants.
This is getting better than the Diddy trial. @BigLarryBabyArm can you confirm that you are the person denying these deals. Clearly erroneous. 🍿
In a letter sent to the NCAA and power conferences Friday, House attorneys believe the denial of NIL collective deals violate the settlement, are requesting a “retraction” of the CSC’s guidance & are threatening to report the wrongdoing to the court bit.ly/460PEsp
College sport’s largest scam. The House deal was bad for everyone. It will not last scrutiny and application. Got my popcorn for all the lawsuits that are coming!
The judge approves attorneys fees. I believe the attorneys will soon receive, if they haven't already, a payment of $20 million. They also requested 20% of the back-pay, $480 million, plus about 1% of the forward rev-share, about $250 million. Grand total nearing $800 million.

Some House settlement clean up: Judge Wilken has granted class counsel's motion for attorneys' fees, costs, and service awards (for the class reps) while denying MoloLamken's motion for an extention to file for their own attorneys' fees for their work as settlement objectors.
Also part of Vol Club (Tenn’s collective), which has a history with the NCAA. This is setting up for a lawsuit, as many have long predicted. It is bold (and arbitrary) for the CSC to claim deals with certain for profit bizs have no valid purpose just b/c the bizs pay athletes.
Statement from The Collective Association (@TCA_NIL) chairman Hunter Baddour to @On3sports on today's CSC guidance: "Any attempt to delegitimize the role collectives play in today’s collegiate athletics landscape ignores both legal precedent and economic reality."

Oh no, did she say that.
I bet if you did a poll, W players would’ve much rather have 2-3 roster spots then having to do a back-to-back in CLE and DET
But I thought nil collectives and those things were all over after House?
Texas A&M’s AD talked about how they plan to use third party NIL deals as their recruiting differentiator. With schools capped on how much money they can pay athletes, the hope is that A&M will be able to tell recruits they’ll be able to receive more third party $ at A&M.
