Who knew there was so much /goddamn/ thinking when it comes to gamedev. We've been doing a lot of backend work on the game's rhythm based battle mechanic and are sooo close to having our greybox done. Then I can actually start drawing stuff again lol.

Working hard and making moves on our greybox, getting all the inivisble stuff sorted before moving on to the battle mechanic. Until then, have some more brain vomit style exploration.



When we were still in Unity (now moving to UE5) we made a mockup to test how it will all look in engine. The fps ain't great, but it was cool to see how much the 2D art can hold up to viewing angles. Seeing ANYTHING that resembles a final product is beyond exciting. #gamedev
A big concern from the get go was making sure the 3D backgrounds and the 2D character art look good together. We took a stab at it in blender before deciding on an engine, and it's a solid start. But more importantly, what do YOU think? #gamedev #indiedev #conceptart #b3d



I'm channeling my weird fear of hallways into our scene mock ups for this game. A lot of time will be spent looking down/through/into rooms with limited movement, so here's some attempts at making the comps as spooky as possible. OK, WEIRD DUMB FEARS. WHAT'S YOURS? GO!
