Interesting info here from @D3SportsData. Additional context . . . in 1998 the MLB draft was shortened to 50 rounds from 100. In 2012 it was dropped to 40, and in 2021 it was dropped again to just 20 rounds—which is why so many of these 'Last Drafted' years are pre-2021.
