On killing the attention economy: mirror.xyz/0x6b872e9Ae3D3…
the real zora flywheel is not the token pairing but the onboarding of creators & subsequent attention
no rights to cashflow != no fundamental value
buzzwords which you know don’t address the actual question creator coins and content coins have no fundamental value / rights to cashflows they have potential attention value from loose affiliations they’re categories of sparkling memecoins
it's amazing that this far into the game toly still fundamentally misunderstand the nature of economic value
“content is incredibly valuable” is a meaningless thing to say. Like data is valuable. Do coin holders have copyright claims? Do they have ad revenue claims? These things have value sometimes.
zora got absolutely slammed for the way they launched their token but in hindsight it will stand as a case study in how to effectively underpromise and overdeliver (while being legally compliant in the US)
Zora is the crypto version of Instagram/Tiktok. Zora is an open protocol (with rev share built in for devs) that anyone can build on: which means it can eventually be applied to any content types
will never understand the mind that sees a chart that’s parabolic and goes “yeah imma open a short here”
