Today we celebrate the feast of St. Mary Magdalene. The former St. Mary Magdalene Parish in Ripley County was founded in 1847 & closed in 2013. The 2nd church was torn down in 1941 when the US War Dept claimed the entire area to serve as a munitions testing ground during WWII.
