I'm outside St John Ambulance Headquarters in Dublin to protest their delay in releasing the report into child sexual abuse. I know it's a bank holiday, but what I experienced as a child I carry every day #BreakTheSilence
The delay in publication of Dr Geoffrey Shannon's review into St John Ambulance is having a detrimental impact on survivors. Some have relapsed with regard to their mental health and sobriety. While others have self-harmed & are struggling with suicidal ideation #BreakTheSilence
It is a continuation of the abuse every single day until the report is published and a significant apology is made to the survivors.
I'm emotionally drained trying to hold it all together in the hope I might get some closure. I spent over 20 years trying to highlight all of this. It's time for St John Ambulance to do the right thing. Publish Dr Shannon's report & apologise to survivors m.independent.ie/irish-news/st-…
