Our review "Contagion dynamics on higher-order networks" is out in @NatRevPhys (rdcu.be/dMQiv). We review the literature on the topic and take the opportunity to propose a unified formalism covering most of the functional forms used for the spreading dynamics (1/2).

Now out (journals.aps.org/pre/abstract/1…) "Interplay of epidemic spreading and vaccine uptake under complex social contagion." We coupled a disease model with a dynamic, threshold-based vaccination campaign to simulate scenarios on an age-structured multilayer net informed contact data.

Working on supply chains, food trade resilience, or agoecology?🌮🌾🚜 The Call for abstracts for the Satellite on Food Systems at the CCS Siena is now open!! We’ll welcome your submissions until the 10th of July! environment.leeds.ac.uk/see/events/eve…
📢📢Announcing another of our great Keynotes and Invited speakers @cosnet_bifi , (more to come!) Do not miss the deadline for registration : June 6th! One registration = 2 conferences #CCS/FR2025 and #Sunbelt2025More info: conferences.css-fr.org
Very sad day: my PhD Advisor, friend, and role model, Prof. Amalio Fernández-Pacheco passed away this morning. My deepest condolences to his family. R.I.P.

Our work is now published in Chaos, Solitons and Fractals. PDF freely available for the next 6-7 weeks at: kwnsfk27.r.eu-west-1.awstrack.me/L0/https:%2F%2…
New MS: "Predicting the critical behavior of complex dynamic systems via learning the governing mechanisms" (arxiv.org/abs/2504.09622). We propose a framework to learn the rules that govern the dynamics of a system & apply it to study SIR dynamics & predict critical properties 1/3
Back to a place that I love for yet another edition of the Lake Como School on Networks and their Applications. And in very good company!

Latest out: arxiv.org/abs/2504.19641. Here, we generalize the DomiRank centrality to multiplex networks & demonstrate using synthetic and real-world multilayer nets that it significantly improves the identification of key nodes in highly heterogeneous multiplex networks.

Now out: "Rumor propagation on hypergraphs" (arxiv.org/abs/2504.19305). It proposes a higher-order rumor model incorporating a group-based annihilation mechanism. We characterize the model's dynamics in synthetic and real systems and compare it with empirical data (1/4)
Now out: arxiv.org/abs/2504.06112. We use an adaptive mechanism that allows agents to redefine their fitness as a function of their environment. We examine the co-evolution of strategies and resource allocation & propose a way to reduce disparities in resource distribution.
