Really love how easy cross-compiling is in golang Want to test a script in controlled VM, but don't wanna clone all the code there? GOOS=linux GOARCH=amd go test -c ... copy paste to the vm, and run it. In gcc even setting up the cross compiling toolchain was a pain iirc

so i recently leared that, even if CPUs have hardware faults (called errata) They "can" be patched by something like firmware code called "microcode". In hindsight it's obvious they need something like that, but i didn't know there's this layer between ISA and hardware

~3 months later, I've FINALLY solved it. It was due to a particular CPU instruction that was behaving wrongly. (single bit flipped in the output) It wasn't software boys. I write good code, obviously it wasn't software.
