Did any of you see Sonic 3 this weekend? The film is now out and, SURPRISE! We have a shot featured in the movie!! We were contacted by Paramount and asked to provide a clip of an intimidating wooden roller coaster, and our shot of El Toro used for a scene with Jim Carrey!
Back in 2014 I rode a janky Pinfari at Playland’s Castaway Cove in Ocean City, NJ. It was shortly thereafter removed to make way for Galeforce. Now, over 10 years later, I’ve been reunited with it at CJ Barrymore’s in Michigan, where it still sucks😂

Six Flags Great Adventure has confirmed the Kingda Ka replacement has been delayed to (presumably) 2027. Holiday in the Park will also not be returning. Sad about both, but understand and appreciate the transparency.
Could the first Mack Rocking Boat in America be on its way to Dollywood? This would also be the first indoor rocking boat, and only Dollywood’s second indoor ride. With the attraction set to be highly themed, the potential for this ride is high!

Check out the level of theming in the queue for Fire Runner at Lost Island. I love how they’ve gone all-out on theming throughout the entire park. I was impressed!
Our shot of El Toro in Sonic 3 was filmed on a cheap pocket camera! We sent Paramount 30 different shot options, including dozens of other wooden coasters to choose from, all filmed on much nicer cameras. Each shot was labeled 1-30. They picked the first shot they saw: shot #1😂

Finally got to check out Typhoon Lagoon! Beautiful park with amazing theming and visually impressive slides. Water coaster was kinda underwhelming- very short. Wave pool was HUGE! Love the lazy river. Good water park to cool off and kill a few hours.
Experienced new Test Track yesterday for the first time and was really impressed! Great blend of modern/retro, with some pretty awesome set pieces. Huge improvement from 2.0, well done Disney👏🏼

Catching up on movies I missed while in Europe, and How to Train Your Dragon was at the top of my list! This is my favorite animated film of all time, and I thought the live action was pretty much perfect. The best adaptation I’ve ever seen, genuinely loved everything. No notes!
