Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 review: this is something bigger than just another foldable. It’s a remarkable design achievement that, unlike every Fold before it, feels like a regular phone in your hands. But it’s capable of far more. RIP to the S Pen, though bloomberg.com/news/features/…

Google to Unveil New Pixel Hardware on Aug. 20 With AI in Focus bloomberg.com/news/articles/… @chriswelch
Google Pixel event is official: August 20, just a few weeks before Apple.
I’m a sucker for good haptics. (Apple and Google are in a league of their own these days.) But for situations like the Fold 7, where they were never going to be that intricate or fancy, I like Samsung’s approach of just going with a very light touch. Beats an annoying thunk.
Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 are here. After a few slow years, the company is showing serious design ambition. The Fold 7 is extremely thin, and the Flip 7 has leapfrogged Motorola's Razr Ultra with slimmer bezels. My full story with @markgurman: bloomberg.com/news/features/…

The Honor Magic V5 is one very, very thin foldable. Your move, Samsung. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

I’ll have my review of the new Nothing Headphones up at Bloomberg soon — along with the Phone 3. But one tidbit for now: the case is so similar to the Sonos Ace case that I’m almost certain it’s the same supplier. That also means the zipper is… not confidence-inspiring.

Exclusive: VSCO is releasing its own camera app — the company’s first new standalone release in a decade. It’s called Capture, and it will let users pick from 50 of VSCO’s popular photo filter presets when taking a shot. US release coming this summer. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
Xreal’s One Pro glasses are a very fun way to privately watch movies or play some games on a handheld console. The bigger 57-degree field of view is a nice improvement over past models. But if you want full immersion, Meta / Apple are still the way to go. bloomberg.com/news/features/…
Can’t tell you all how happy I am to be joining Bloomberg, where I’ll be leading product reviews and still covering news — including Sonos, of course. I’ve been at The Verge for 13+ years and love everything about this place and our readers. But this is the perfect second act.
I’m excited to announce two major additions to my new consumer tech team at Bloomberg: Chris Welch (@chriswelch) and Samantha Kelly (@HeySamantha). Congratulations to both! We’re thrilled to expand even further into reviews and devices news.
