So it's now 9 years since the vote to leave the EU. For a detailed account & analysis of what happened from the day after that, see my book, "Brexit Unfolded: How no one got what they wanted (and why they were never going to)" (2nd, updated, edition 2023): bitebackpublishing.com/books/brexit-u…

Brexit: the next phase. New post on my Brexit & Beyond Blog. With the Gibraltar agreement ending the A50 issues, and the Reset Summit over, we're entering a period of technical adjustments. Thoughts on that, and the 9th anniversary of the Referendum: chrisgreybrexitblog.blogspot.com/2025/06/brexit…
Weird to still be jibing about 'Remainer Tears' when it is Farage et al who constantly whine that Brexit has been 'betrayed'.
I went to the first Reform UK pub and had a pint of Remainer tears. 🍺
Reform UK have been obsessing over councils and free TV licences. As this FOI response from KCC explains, illegal immigrant and asylum seeker costs are funded by the Home Office, and not the council. Zia Yusuf and DOGE claimed they would shave millions off council costs, yet…
Reform delivering in Warwickshire. Not. Do give this a watch
Just to be completely clear - this British Army Vet was NOT forced out of military housing to accommodate Afghans - who, by the way, put their own lives at risk to support and protect British soldiers. Just ever more rage baiting by Matt! 🧵1/14
Outrageous. A British Army Vet —who served seven tours—was forced out of military housing to accommodate Afghan migrants 👇

This dishonest tool was QUITE LITERALLY the Minister who announced Non-Crime Hate Incidents in Parliament.
We need to abolish non-crime hate incidents so police can concentrate on catching real criminals @Conservatives voted to get rid of thought policing Labour voted to keep investigating hurty words🥀

After the Brexit reset, how about a Brexit review? New post on my Brexit & Beyond Blog. The reset now needs to be delivered, including an SPS deal. Meanwhile, with the SDR we've had three defence reviews since Brexit, so why not a Brexit review? chrisgreybrexitblog.blogspot.com/2025/06/after-…

That was the reset that was. New post on my Brexit & Beyond Blog evaluating the framing and content of the UK-EU reset Summit, political reactions to it, and what it says about Labour's post-Brexit approach to the EU: chrisgreybrexitblog.blogspot.com/2025/05/that-w…

So amused to discover that Spiked Online (slogan; 'Ban nothing. Question everything') have blocked me.
Simply factually wrong on three counts. The UK is not being threatened by a 50% tariff. The US is not our main export market. And the main aim isn't to reduce paperwork for supermarkets. Nor is German ownership an issue. Eu haters going to hate though.
