Asylum seekers are fine to buy a pint or go to the cinema, but if 227 of them use their cards in a cash machine, and proceed to use that to gamble over a year its worth a home office enquiry. What are they expected to do? 'Hey you, with the cash... you look awfully different,…
What motivates a vocal handful of anti-gambling campaigners to try and ruin the enjoyment of millions who choose to take part in a legal activity?
The short term variance is irrelevant in the long run. In fact, the all-time graph is very consistent sharpbetting.co.uk/football
As far as I can tell: There are four betting shops in Canary Wharf and four in Bethnal Green. 2 AGCs in Bethnal Green and none in Canary Wharf. So not a massive difference.
Why are there barely any betting shops in Canary Wharf but rows of them in places like Bethnal Green? It's not by accident. Aim to Permit makes it easy for betting companies to target less wealthy areas. It’s time to end it👇 #HighStreetsNotHighStakes dawnbutler.org.uk/high_streets

A week on cannot find anything published on this. Terrified of scrutiny after the affordability checks fiasco?

I have not been a fan of GambleAware over the last year and their increasing anti-gambling narrative. But also feel for the 100+ experenced people that actually help problem gamblers who will lose their jobs. No one should celebrate that.

good stuff

“Pitched as a way out of poverty” ?? - that’s not just disingenuous, it’s desperation.
🎲Just wanting to tax online casinos to oblivion did not last long. 👀Now its the whole online gambling industry to be taxed and regulated into a different stratosphere. 🐴Does that include the £8.4bn a year wagered on horse racing with the online gambling industry?
