Python is not a fully functional language. The GIL means it cannot run parallel threads. A bug in the shared memory class took years to fix and meant shared memory was useless. I could go on, but there are so many libraries that are amazing and people can be very productive.

Starting out the morning with a bagel and latte. It’s good now, but it’s about to get better.
Just started building a new wearable Raspberry Pi cluster that when done will be the world’s largest at 1,111 Raspberry Pi in literal vertical hat. Balancing will be accomplished with gyroscopes and it will be powered with a Tesla Power Wall worn as a backpack.
Great news! Now the trick will be to pack the Oracle campus conference center so it needs to be moved to the Santa a Clara convention center.

Swimming with an Apple Watch is terrible. Can’t stop a swim workout until after water has been ejected from the speaker and then the touchscreen being wet is impossible to use so you need a towel. Can’t the action button be programmed to stop the swim?
In one hour I will see an old friend that I have not seen since October 2022. I’m pretty excited because I’m going to help with a move. More to come…
