Everything begins in glare, haze, and smoke. That is, like a newborn: choking, gasping, clamoring for air.
Happy anniversary to those who celebrate

What form will resistance to Trump take? What prevents unrest against right wing strongmen from mutating into insurrection, revolution? The uprisings in Turkey, Serbia, Georgia, and Bangladesh reveal a pattern with familiar limits and lessons. illwill.com/crossing-the-r…
My hot take about the last decade or so of "woke" identity politics, adopted across the board on the left (including anarchists) is that by essentializing, policing & rigidifying racial categories (including whiteness), it paralleled & reinforced the right wing identity reaction.
the revolution involves a civil war, in which elements of white society fracture over their allegiances to humanity vs their allegiances to capital. without this, there is simply no chance, it is just the 1970s over and over again. placate, no. split them, yes.
Notice how according to some, Communism and revolution is wholly reliant on the participation of genocidal settler proletarians-functionally colonial mercenaries of capital-and thus we must placate to their feelings and wait for them to magically drop their reactionary fervor?
