Remember, in AD 67 the dispensationalists would have told you it was impossible for God to break his promise in Genesis 17:8. "Everlasting" includes AD 70 to 1948, they'd have assured you. The Temple will never be destroyed, they'd have said. And then AD 70 would have showed up.
