I don't understand why the curfew allows 15 —to 17-year-olds to stay out until 1 a.m. When I was a senior in high school, my parents set my curfew at 11 p.m. There is the possibility of too much bad stuff that can happen when youth are out until 1 a.m.

Today is our beloved #EmmettTill's 84th Birthday. 🕊He was a young man that shared his joy of life with everyone around him. He loved amusement parks, the zoo and loved to fish with his Grandmother. Tragically, his life was cut short at the tender age of 14. His legacy lives on.

Grateful for the brave officers who put themselves in harm’s way to protect our community. We are incredibly thankful they are SAFE with their families tonight. This could have ended much differently.
