Organizing in a small chapter since 2021. The NEC and NLC alone are worth more than they’re already allotted. The support HVDSA has gotten on specific strike support, federal/k12/higher ed labor organizing, and electoral/issue campaigns is the basis of our rebuilding.
I'm really proud to have authored the resolution for Locals First which doubles the amount that chapters get from membership dues. Ultimately, this money always belonged to chapters who do the hard work of organizing on the ground and gives them the resources they need to do more

The genocide of the people of Gaza continues as members of congress vote to fund Israel’s defensive and offensive military capabilities. This is immoral and no amount of excuses will ever make it ok.
I fundamentally disagree with this flattening electeds to just their legislative voting records. These are *political* positions, and it's impossible to consider AOC in regard to Palestine without the phrase "working tirelessly to secure a ceasefire".

If we need student unions for big wins like SFSU's, which tactics used there couldn't also be used by a large YDSA chapter? If student unionism is supposed to strengthen the socialist movement, why has it eroded YDSA's presence on most of the campuses where it's been tried?
