So, #FamilyFarmTax Say 400acre family farm at £10k/ acre = £4m House, machinery etc £1.5m = £5.5m £1m to £3m exempt, say £2m. 20% IHT on £3.5m is £700k. If a generation is 28 yrs that's £25k a year IHT (paid after income tax etc) so 0.45% of capital every year BUT, read on⬇️

Last week we launched with @monitorfarm in Camborne. Pete hosted expertly, the turnout was good, weather played nicely, @Tom_Clarke joined us and even the chickens appeared to enjoy the event. Looking forwards to winter series here! @AHDB_Cereals
We’re really busy on sand spreading, haylage and hay this week, plus tidying up for our @OpenFarmSunday this weekend, but still finding a couple hours to host a local school visit. Love their enthusiasm and zest for a look round the farm 👌
