Have been off X but I did launch this resource recently: bit.ly/iftheybuildit on fighting carceral infrastructure of all kinds, particularly features recommendations on landscape assessments pre-organizing, avoiding identity reductionism, & rejecting carceral alternatives.
i am slow to trust anyone who has never grappled with their capacity to do harm to others, who has not made choices they regret
i think alot of queer people are "lottery leftists". lucky moralists that have absorbed the right values and opinions without any rigorous effort or self-critic. i think often these people are concerned with enforcement not for any particular outcomes, but for social security
We are seeing people use "stage 5 is irreversible" and "there's no food to buy" as an excuse to wash their hands of Gaza & claim that nothing more can be done. We see you & we know what you are. Do not allow these apologists any room to breathe. Do not let up for even a moment.
Georges Abdallah, liberated, a unitary figure of the resistance, who immediately saluted the mothers of al-Dahiyeh as the mothers of the martyrs lined the road to celebrate his release when he arrived, and called for escalation, resistance & action for Gaza.
A reminder: framing homelessness as a problem of mental illness or addiction has been politically manufactured to divert attention from its *actual* causes—skyrocketing rents, poverty wages, gutted social supports—and to justify the removal of homeless people from public space.
GEORGES ABDALLAH IS FREE! After 41 years in French prison, Europe’s longest held political prisoner Georges Abdallah won his freedom today and returned to Lebanon with his head held high and fist in the air. “Every day, Palestine teaches us all lessons of self-sacrifice and…
these same children who are starving to death right before our eyes tried holding press conferences begging us to save them in November 2023 and the world did nothing. I’ll genuinely never get over having to write these sentences as long as I live….the heart atrophies.
Don’t let this get lost in the noise: @Columbia just inked a deal with the federal government to trigger ICE abduction when an international student gets arrested for any reason.
Deeply concerning part of Columbia's capitulation to Trump: Foreign students arrested at protests can now be detained by ICE regardless of whether university admin's punish them. Significant escalation of efforts to chill speech & protest activity by non-citizen students.
While starving Gaza and its 80% refugee population, Israel is expanding its war on Palestinian refugees—and on their very ‘refugee-ness’—in the West Bank. Our updated analysis shows that the Israeli military is continuing to carve up the refugee camps of Tulkarm, Jenin and Nur…
Assata shakur on imperialism " As long as you have imperialism you will have racism "
I don't care if you were incarcerated or not, normalization is shameful and should be condemned.
I met with Mahmoud Khalil, a Palestinian student at Columbia University, who was imprisoned for 104 days by the Trump administration for opposing Netanyahu’s illegal & horrific war in Gaza. Outrageous. We must not allow Trump to destroy the First Amendment & freedom to dissent.
The real antagonism concealed within the movement for transgender rights is class-based. As Jules Gill-Peterson writes, the rise of “transgender liberalism” has erased the interests and worldview of working-class people. thebaffler.com/latest/reject-…

Officials said Alligator Alcatraz will not hold minors — but a 15 year old was held there for 3 days. The Mexican teen, who has no criminal record, was arrested during a traffic stop in Tampa. w/@anaceballos_ miamiherald.com/news/politics-…
She walked out of her immigration hearing smiling — papers in hand, standing tall. She had no idea the man waiting in the hallway was ICE. No idea she was about to be detained. This is happening inside NYC’s immigration courts. Every day. #ICE
Prisons don’t create safety—they disappear people. When politicians fight to keep them open for jobs, what they’re really defending is a racialized economy built on warehousing human beings instead of investing state time and energy into care, housing, health, or other jobs.
NEWS: the Bureau of Prisons just decided to reverse course and keep their facility in Duluth open. I urged BOP leadership to take this step to protect these good paying jobs that are vital to the local economy.
The horror Saif Musallat’s lynching - beat by a settler mob & denied medical access so he could die slowly in his family’s witness- is magnified by the reality that the ability to murder w such ease & lust is a settler fantasy-accessible to Zionists by way of settling Palestine.
The whole imperial boomerang idea feels weird to me sometimes. Not because it’s wrong, like yeah, the violence eventually spills over… but because it acts like this it wasn’t already here. Like Black and Indigenous folks weren’t the first test subjects for every experiment in…
People detained at Alligator Alcatraz aren’t showing up in a government locator. Families and attorneys are struggling to find them. We obtained a list of 750+ names, and are publishing it here: miamiherald.com/news/local/imm…
