Can't Buy My Silence
@cbmsilence
We are a campaign committed to building a global coalition to ban the misuse of NDAs to buy victims’ silence. #cantbuymysilence https://linktr.ee/cbmscanada
Honoured to meet Zelda Perkins, whose powerful campaigning with @cbmsilence has been vital in highlighting misuse of NDAs to silence workers. We're banning NDAs that prevent people from speaking out about harassment and discrimination. #CantBuyMySilence
The Hockey Canada verdict is a disgrace. 5 men walk free—not because the truth wasn’t horrifying, but because EM “wasn’t credible enough.” How familiar. When will we stop requiring survivors to be perfect to be believed? We stand with survivors. Always. #hockeycanadatrial

🚨Over the past year James O’Brien & others have made claims about my departure from LBC. I’m restricted in what I can share with you but hope the statement below will draw a line under the matter. My focus is on moving forward. I am grateful for your continued support, Sangita
Last week, Baroness Jones publicly confirmed Labour will include NDA reform in the Employment Rights Bill: a huge shift after years of consultations and delays. No backtracking. No excuses. Now is the time to act, and deliver the reform workers have waited far too long for.
This is a crucial moment. A group of amendments, led by Baroness Helena Kennedy & drafted with CBMS, have full cross-party & sector support. We need the strongest version to return to the Commons. Every worker in every sector deserves full protection from silence and abuse.

“There is no excuse anywhere within government to say they don't understand the issue of NDAs.” There is "so much" evidence non-disclosure agreements are a “massive issue” disproportionately impacting low income workers, says co-founder of Can't Buy My Silence, @ZeldaZeldaluna.

“Whether that’s your boss sexually harassing you…there are various levels of drama that comes with that – and damage” Zelda Perkins, the first woman to break a non-disclosure agreement about Harvey Weinstein, explains how NDA’s might be used to abuse. #BBCWato
Yesterday we delivered a @38degrees petition with @LouHaigh signed by over 92,000 to 10 Downing Street, calling on the government to end the misuse of NDAs . After six years of reviews there’s no excuse left. With a govt supporting workers’ rights, the time for action is now.

Workers across the country are being silenced by abusive NDAs. Yesterday, @ZeldaZeldaluna and @cbmsilence took the fight to ban them to Downing St. 92,000+ signed @LouHaigh's petition calling for employees to be protected. There's cross-party support for it. It's time to act.
"Labour would be making a 𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘴 mistake not to move on this." Weinstein's former PA, Zelda Perkins, urges No 10 to act on the "quiet pandemic" of powerful figures misusing NDAs in workplace harassment and abuse cases. @maitlis | @jonsopel | @ZeldaZeldaluna
