Chantilly Lace racing away from them on the rail. Was keeping on. Maybe would have won that with some company for longer.
Racing can’t run away from its problems now. Lord Allen’s final decision is key and terrific news for @ayrracecourse and the Gold Cup.

Poor 45 minutes from Ayr. Not matching St Mirren’s intensity and sitting way too deep. Might be job practically done but far too slack. Poor goals to lose as well.
Stunning round of 60 from Kitayama to get back into contention. Suspect a good few will still get past -17 by the close of play. Maybe even -20 or more but back in with a shout and shows what is out there.
*Kalpana.
Went the way of Calandagan. Just a better set up on a more conventional track on quicker ground. Toughed it out from Kalapana to prevail.

Nice little race this King George. Ought to be quite tactical.
One of the most sedately run handicaps on Ascot’s straight course saves a dismal day. Fearnot leads home Bullet Point in a 1-2.
Jeez. There’s a big handicap in Arctic Thunder. On the wrong side of the draw at York.
Strong refereeing there. They were playing for that. Big and correct call. Lions have played their get out of jail free card. A jail they shouldn’t have been in given the midfield selection.
Bundee Aki has been stretching his hamstrings for about 15 minutes. The initial selection was a big question mark. Farrellys needless tinkering is going to cost the Lions this Test match at the moment.

Concerning stuff. Money is becoming obscene in sports such as football, while we can’t muster spare change to even broadcast and fully host events like this. Spare a thought for the sports that were initially cut. Many athletes don’t even get a chance for their moment in the sun.

Andy Farrell has ignored the old adage of 'if ain't broke don't fix it' with his Lions selection for the second Test against Australia, it's hard to justify Bundee Aki's inclusion at the expense of Sione Tuipulotu, writes CHRIS FOY trib.al/aLbVpN7
Plenty to unpack in here. Reviews. A trappy King George. Two each of interest at the moment in the big Galway races, although I’ll be waiting on the weather a little. Goodwood fancies, one particularly strong one for me 🇦🇺

The Racing League returns tonight and this is why it’ll always leave a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. One of the most ridiculous beats I’ve had in the sport.

Like the bullishness of this. Bet of the meeting IMO.
