The #STLCardinals have a .407 winning percentage this season in games started by Mikolas/Fedde. In all other games, the Cards' win percentage is .651. It took Mozeliak until July 23 to do something about that. And Mikolas is still here with his 5.07 ERA since the start of 2023.
The #STLCards record when Erick Fedde starts this season: 5-15 The #STLCards record this season when literally anyone else starts: 47-35 47-35 is approximately the same winning percentage (.573) as the Phillies.
At least they squeezed a few more losses out of him before accepting the obvious.

Man, can’t imagine having to go pitch after something like this. Made her proud with a great performance though! Sending positive vibes to the Leahy fam.
Kyle Leahy pitched really well tonight. His grandmother passed away this morning . She’s from the Denver area and he believes she was waiting for him to get back home. Can’t imagine the emotions he was dealing with.
Even if Fedde had lucked into some good starts leading up to the deadline, the only team that would have fallen for it is the one he’s already on. This approach was just such a perfect microcosm of the last half decade (really full decade) of the org.
What's worse is, there's an argument to be made that the best thing they would've gained from this charade was getting a team to pick up some of Fedde's remaining salary if they could move him. Were they realistically getting a prospect back? Didn't feel that way. Could they…
