I used this chart in a talk at btc++ earlier this year. After, I realized I got the bottom right corner wrong. It's the best idea. Now I think of it as the degen corner. This is where the gamblers will flock. It's simplicity of design makes it a high priority for development.

Fun fact - JGarzik created cpu-miner at Satoshi's request as a general purpose CPU bitcoin mining program. I added GPU mining to it in 2011, renaming it to cgminer. It evolved to ASIC mining & is still in hardware today, having mined more than half of all bitcoin that exists.
