the funny thing about mega-dragonite is that it's a doofy ass dragon and it's mega makes more sense for it's doofy ass design, compared to all of the fan-designs that try to make it look super cool

From my understanding his power is only limited to his creativity and knowledge of how he can recombine himself into whatever he wants. I do like the idea of the drawback being that he’s in near constant pain from using his powers.
