CNN Home⭐️Front: I spoke with a veteran in Kansas, Trump voter, fired from USDA. He describes the firings of federal employees as a sudden drawdown, poorly executed — “I’m sorry to put it like this: it was like the pull out of Afghanistan.” cnn.com/2025/03/06/pol…
An exclusive report from West Point, where cadets are taking the last of their final exams and preparing to be future military leaders - as school officials have been making sweeping changes on orders from President Trump.
As the Israel and US-backed GHF has taken over much of the aid distribution in Gaza, many Palestinians describe choosing between starving or risking death not to. How it got to this:
And the outcome of the 17th annual @CWSoftballGame was ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️. No really, it was ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️.
Tonight is the 17th annual @CWSoftballGame! Bipartisan lawmakers take on the Bad News Babes press team at @AudiField. A preview with BNB alum @kasie on @TheArenaCNN:
Rep. Tim Burchett says nonpartisan CBO he championed at least 3 times with resolutions to require CBO price tags for bills is “very partisan” after CBO projects millions lose health care, $3+ trillion price tag with Trump’s bill.
The Trump admin is ending temporary protected status for Afghan citizens in the US, including some who helped the US military during the war - and their family members. Veterans are organizing to accompany these Afghans to their immigration hearings in a show of solidarity.
Military spouse fed workers who took remote jobs to balance career and supporting their service member/family were told to return to the office this week. As CNN reported on the change the Trump administration reversed it. @Hadas_Gold and I report: cnn.com/2025/03/28/pol…

Due to frequent military moves, military spouses, long recruited to the fed. workforce by recent administrations, including Trump's, are more likely to be probationary. This Air Force spouse worked for the VA for 15 years but was still fired last week as a probationary employee:
“One hotline worker … said she had worked for the federal government for nine years before going to work at the crisis line. The employee, who also serves in the Air National Guard, was 12 days away from the end of her one-year probationary period when she was fired.”

Will Trump admin turn over IRS data on undocumented immigrants who received child tax credits to law enforcement? Stephen Miller: “If IRS investigators find illegal aliens stealing taxpayer money, of course they will be referred to ICE... homeland security investigations.” 2/2
The Trump admin, in court filings, says Elon Musk is not an employee nor the administrator of DOGE. But does he know that? And who's making the call to fire federal workers? My interview w/ WH Dep Chief of Staff Stephen Miller - part 1/2:
The DOD is reviewing lists of civilian probationary employees for potential termination that could come as early as this week, multiple US officials tell me @brikeilarcnn @OrenCNN. The review includes exemption requests for specific personnel for national security purposes.
.@elonmusk retweeted the tweet below that incorrectly implies all federal workers are in the DC area. But most don’t even live in the DC/MD/VA metro area and they’re being fired all over the country. From @pewresearch:
There’s a 92% chance that any federal employee you see crying on TV is an Anti-Trump Democrat
