🚨Today I filed HB139 to REPEAL the Hollywood tax subsidy program... and redirect every penny to lowering property taxes! SB22 was a California style, socialist abomination. Liberal Hollywood should never be prioritized over Texas taxpayers!
The bare minimum amount of property tax cuts enacted during this special session should be the amount of surplus we had just 6 months ago: $24 billion. I don’t care how many bills from 89(R) we have to repeal to do it! Texans expect bold action to eliminate property taxes.

My feed is full of Texas politicians pledging to “fight for property tax relief.” I’m old enough to remember when almost every TxLege Republican celebrated passing “the biggest property tax cut in history” during “the most conservative session ever.” Ya… That was last month.
