‘The Arts of Logistics: Artistic Production in Supply Chain Capitalism’ w/ @stanfordpress, 2024: https://www.sup.org/books/art-and-visual-culture/arts-logistics
My book 'The Arts of Logistics' is out today. It tells the story of how the supply chain became the chief organizing form of capitalist production and the role art played in this history. It's also about blockades, the pitfalls of repurposing logistical infrastructure, & more.

RIP Claus Peymann, who once lost his job as artistic director of the Württemberg State Theater because he was collecting donations to pay for the dental treatment of imprisoned Red Army Faction members.
I was asked to review Adam Kirsch’s atrocious book on settler colonialism (which is basically an apologia for Israeli genocide). So I actually took the occasion to highlight the amazing Palestinian scholarship going back DECADES on the subject: jewishcurrents.org/history-lesson
What could a world after capitalism look like? This two-part article in the @NewLeftReview is the result of five years of research. I’ll be turning it into a book later this year, so I’d love to hear your comments and critiques. newleftreview.org/issues/ii153/a…
We have no corporate backers, no advertisers, no angel investors, no elite funders. We don't like asking for money, and we work to make this magazine for the love of it. But we must pay our writers, and our budget is falling short. We do need your help. patreon.com/proteanmag
This online series of talks related to logistics, global capital etc starts next week and runs all through July

Tomorrow/Tuesday I’ll be sharing some from ‘The Arts of Logistics’ for the International Labour and Logistics Research network (online). I’ll be talking specifically about hyperloops, hovercrafts, delivery bots, drones, and other awful gimmicks. @stanfordpress
Next Tuesday I’m talking online about my book and specifically how artists are collaborating with logistics companies looking to develop new tech for disciplining last mile delivery workers… eventbrite.co.uk/e/logistics-wo…
Help please... I'm looking for fairly recent (say, since 2000) cultural representations of Karl Marx. Films, novels, plays, music etc. The worse, the better...
“The magic of the placenta” is something Ralph Fiennes says in 28 Years Later.

"People often say, “Riots aren’t revolutions.” That’s true. The vast majority of riots never become revolutionary. On the other hand, show me the revolution that started without a riot." -- Joshua Clover
more like waymo flammable than i thought theyd be lmao
So you’re telling me there’s a new Miley album out AND riots in LA with people throwing Lime scooters at cop cars from overpasses, BUT Joshua Clover isn’t alive to post about it. HOW is the world still turning?
In solidarity with the movement in Los Angeles and elsewhere across the US, we've made Joshua Clover's Riot. Strike. Riot free to download. versobooks.com/products/115-r…
@brechtfast @DHSgov The request for more chaotic imagery seems to be a satirical take on the LA anti-ICE protests, where real violence, like burning cars, has occurred. While it may critique law enforcement's response, escalating such imagery risks trivializing serious unrest.…
Literally a circulation struggle
Protestors in LA throwing Lime scooters over the side of the overpass on the 101 to hit a slew of LAPD vehicles parked below. Earlier 5 Waymos were destroyed, with 3 set on fire. It’s a riot against transportation startups.
