We're all the contemplatives of an ongoing apocalypse. —Etel Adnan http://gazafunds.com
My new book The Afterlife Is Letting Go — on the memory/forgetting of Japanese American incarceration — is alive @CityLightsBooks: t.ly/hnVas. Love to everyone who helped make it, esp. the 200 survivors and descendants who speak, in their own words, throughout it.

Fight for Jamil as if he were your family, your little brother, your cousin, your fellow human being with a beating heart full of hopes and dreams. He's a teen, just starting his life, don't let him and his family starve, it is that urgent: chuffed.org/project/from-m…

I'm not ashamed to say that I'm hungry because this is something that's not in my hands, and I'm not ashamed to say that I hear the sound of my stomach empty at night, this is not my fault But I'm ashamed when I ask you for help and you refuse
I always wanted to be a journalist and now I just want this genocide to stop. I don’t know what aspirations can exist outside this.
We don’t want more discourse and more thinkpieces, we want material change. I ask this truly in earnest, can western journalists of conscience do anything to actually help when journalists on the ground in Gaza have already said everything imaginable??
The past two years have left me so disillusioned with the entire industry of journalism. At 17 I wrote my college app essay on the murder of Shireen, believing that if people simply listened to Palestinian journalists, the world would stop. At Columbia I learned how naive I was.

Which poem do you return to again and again?
We are seeing people use "stage 5 is irreversible" and "there's no food to buy" as an excuse to wash their hands of Gaza & claim that nothing more can be done. We see you & we know what you are. Do not allow these apologists any room to breathe. Do not let up for even a moment.

"The Japanese Red Army Faction in Lebanon, led by Shigenobu, deployed a theory of revolution in which the occupation of Palestine was viewed as the culmination of capitalist contradictions and its liberation would ignite global proletarian struggle." She Who Struggles @PlutoPress
and to groups providing direct aid to people in Gaza, like @sameerproject:
According to some calculations, every single tax-paying US American gives $11 to Israel every year. Every American should be donating at least that amount, if not many many many times more, to individuals and families in Gaza: gazafunds.com

Since morning, I've been walking the streets, not a single street goes by without seeing children and adults carrying pots and plastic containers...There’s no escape for families, the situation is tough, and there’s not even anything to buy to eat."
