We cannot talk about the suffering disabled people face without also talking about the ways the state creates and upholds the conditions of suffering.

Thus another century of blaming disability on personal failing. High energy disabled ppl are acceptable, low energy disabled ppl are unacceptable. The catch? If you have energy, "you can work." Eugenics, & ableism in perfect harmony.

A lot of people are committed to conflating disabilities with incompetence -especially severe and energy limiting ones.

Let me be the first to tell you if you haven't already had to learn for yourself; measuring a person's worth & humanity by their level of productivity/usefulness (+ who gets to define that) is nonpartisan. Disabled ppl are often shut out & overlooked even from leftist organizing.

People who aren't severely disabled, poor and isolated don't know how absolutely fucking soul crushing it is to have immeasurable amounts of ongoing grief and rage and no accessible outlets to cope with any of it at all

my disabilities themselves don't make me feel su!c!dal, it's the way I am dehumanized for being disabled that does.

Sometimes what's thought of as "luck/being lucky" is really just unacknowledged privilege.
