3 more ICU shifts!!!! 🥹🥹 these last 4.5 weeks have been HARD to say the least

one of my favorite micu nurses brought me peaches today and i almost started crying this rotation has been so hard but everyone has been so kind and supportive 🥹

i did my first central line today!! 🤠

as difficult as intern year has been so far, i’m so incredibly thankful for the lovely consultants who give me so much grace when i page the wrong person and the nurses who have been beyond helpful with adjusting to residency

did my first death exam and announced time of death today. the ICU is a heavy place

i just registered for step 3 can someone explain to me why this exam is $935

first day off of residency and i scheduled a new pcp appointment and a new therapist appointment and honestly this feels quite productive

the number of CDI queries ive had since starting residency 😭

after four days of residency, i literally couldn’t be more thankful for the palliative teams i helped lead my first goals of care conversation with a patient today and wow, palliative is incredible
