define copy! Marathi has an unbroken chain of Devanagari Usage right from Sanskrit. Sanskrit --> Prakrit --> Maharashtri Prakrit --> Marathi. No Such chain for Hindi exists as Hindi is an artificial language created out of Khariboli spoken(no Devanagari) & Braj/Avadhi written.
