The current £1.4 billion net debt provided by Kieran does not include the £1.6 billion that Eghbali took from Clearlake investors. Here’s a calculation of what Chelsea will need to be sold for to return that money at an 11% yield…this is WITHOUT debt for a new stadium:
Comparison to rest of PL (figures 2023 unless says otherwise)
As I was saying, Simons can play LW but he is not a LW. Same thing they said about a far superior former Leipzig player. Why do we expect a different outcome from Maresca?
Matt Law’s new piece suggesting Garnacho could be brought in to compete with Gittens on the left while Simons plays as a 10. It really seems like we’ll be going all out attacking this season.
We will know very soon if this window is as horrific as I think it is. All my hopes are on a striker that scored 5 non-pen goals for all of last season. Silver lining is the easy start to the season.
I hate our directors and Clearlake in general. Always will. I passionately dislike the squad building and model
I refuse to bring negativity towards somebody. However, I must ask… Do you only get interactions when talking about Chelsea? Because this is pretty pathetic. I’m at a loss of words for how people talk about our beautiful Football Club.

𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲𝗮 - 𝘁𝗵𝗲 £𝟮𝗯𝗻 𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲 💵🔥 About one year ago, two years after the Boehly and Clearlake consortium aquired Chelsea FC, I was perplexed. Their investment model made absolutely no sense to me. It appeared to be a premium puppy farm - overpay on top young…
We don’t sign players we desperately need. We just stock pile kids.
🚨 ❌ Chelsea are NOT currently amongst clubs interested in signing Donarumma. (@Matt_Law_DT)
Clear as day United calling the Mason Mount favour.
Honestly you lot are overreacting with Garnacho. Starting petitions? Saying every good signing is now undone? Really? Just because he’s not someone you want, that doesn’t mean you go overboard. He’ll be a decent signing for the right price, he’s not the scrub he’s made out to be
Isn’t that the glide path?
Would anyone come to terms with Garnacho if we try to get him after Simons? Especially on a cut price as the window moves on?
The more I find out about these players, the more doubts I have about the purpose of these transfers. Get a traditional LB and LW, stop this woke nonsense about hybrid players.
🚨🇳🇱 Chelsea mantain total confidence to sign both Jorrel Hato and Xavi Simons. Negotiations continue this week with Ajax after total agreement with Hato last week, deal close. Xavi Simons wants Chelsea and talks with RB Leipzig on the fee/structure of the deal are ongoing.
Quoted as €50m but confirmed to be €30m+no chance+no chance - £26.27m - a £12.75m immediate book loss until anything is qualified for. Bought from Atletico for €52m (£45.52m) on a 7yr deal
#CFC agree €50m deal to sell Joao Felix to Al Nassr. Follows @FabrizioRomano nytimes.com/athletic/64245…
You’re doing too much, but let this be a lesson to Simons. I don’t get the difference between his profile and that of Nkuku or Felix.
Felix could’ve been a star at Chelsea. We signed him without any idea how to use him. When used correctly, he’s top 5 players in the world.
Newcastle in the mud again?
🚨 BREAKING! Benjamin Šeško is open to joining Manchester United, even with the club unable to offer European football next season. 🇸🇮 ℹ️ @SamC_reports
This transfer feels like another Felix. Late in the window when Eghbali is getting duped by agents. There are least 3 other players that play Simons’ position. Where are the players for actual gaps in the squad?
🚨📍Xavi Simons is increasingly close to Chelsea, who have reportedly offered £61m to secure the Dutchman's services. Deal is close to completion. #CFC [@AlfredoPedulla]
Add the prize money and you can explain their investment this window. Wouldn’t be surprised if they bring in more players.
🚨 Bayern Munich reach total agreement with Liverpool to sign Luis Diaz. Deal for 28yo winger €75m + permission granted to travel for medical. Proposed 4+1yr contract at #FCBayern. Now ~£190m sales since Hughes became #LFC sporting director @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/65155…
No one is waiting for Estevao to grow up my friend.
Bayern Munich have just funded Alexander Isak to Liverpool, they’re going to sell Nunez as well, imagine they also get Rodrygo? This is haram.
Yeah, I have a problem with overpaying for a player and selling him for £16m less one year later.
It seems like nobody has a problem with Chelsea selling players to Saudi clubs, except fans from the one club who’ve bought more players from us than any Saudi club ever has…funny
Nothing dodgy about this Saudi deal. At £26m they got a Sancho level bargain.
Chelsea’s Hold Co losing billions and repeatedly being bailed out by the dodgiest of Saudi deals… If Saudi were a traditional crime syndicate, Newcastle would be their “honest business” front whilst Chelsea/others would be their “other businesses”.
They were queueing up this morning to put out this fraudulent message that Felix somehow shows the cleverness of these owners. Felix was sold for £26.2m after being purchased for £42m one year ago! In no world is this good business. Blueco just got duped by clever agents.
Chelsea owners and SDs are so good in Sports business. People give them sticks when they don't know the motives behind their moves. Look at how they used Felix to recycle Gallagher's fee instead of losing him on a free. And the imminent FOS deal. They could've lost £50m-£60m…
Felix was sold for £26.2m plus add ons. We bought him for £42m one year ago. Apart from the negative cash flow for business valuation, that is a £7-12m PSR loss, depending on accounting for loan fees. Tickets are expensive? That’s because you’re funding this incompetence.
🚨 Al-Nassr close to signing João Félix after outbidding Benfica. Talks have advanced this weekend. Chelsea set to receive over £40m.
Since when do we include the sell-on in the value being reported?
🚨🟡🔵 EXCLUSIVE: Al Nassr agree deal to sign João Félix from Chelsea, here we go! Player authorized to fly for medical and join Al Nassr, initial transfer fee worth €30m plus add-ons and heavy sell-on clause to meet Chelsea €50m valuation in future. Paperwork being prepared.
