So enjoyable to follow the Indian women's team here. Increasingly, there is depth in the batting, lots of spin bowling options and some fine talent coming through. Really looking forward to watching them at the World Cup
Root moves to no 2 and should be odds on favourite to reach 15922. Certainly he has distanced himself from all his contemporaries. England play so many tests that, inevitably, they must hold all test records. Root has played 157 in 13 tests, 12/year. Tendulkar, by comparison,…
England are going from strength to strength while India continue to struggle with bowling options. Bumrah will be available after tea but he is moving a bit gingerly while Siraj, I am afraid, after bowling so gallantly, is looking like he is running on empty
I fear @Sundarwashi5 is going to get an identity crisis. Is he a bowler? Or a batter who bats lower in the order? This is what happens when you pick 6 bowlers, 1 or even 2 get vastly underbowled
In our culture the little tap on the head to someone younger is a way of saying "well done". This frame, brilliantly captured by Anis ul Hasan, our cameraman at @SonySportsNetwk, is one of the best I have seen. It shows respect, admiration and is so Indian.

I have been fortunate to have seen some great moments in cricket. But to see #RishabhPant walking out to bat with a broken toe and seeing the warmth with which everyone reacted was as emotional as anything I have seen
Magnificent session for India. Proper test match batting and one characterised by control. Rahul is looking so pleasant at the crease. And Jaiswal has negotiated a little anxious period very well
With an extra batter likely to play this test, Jadeja could drop to no 7. But it is worth asking if he would be a better batter in the form he is in than anyone else batting at no 6!
Only two places in question for the Old Trafford test. Prasidh or Kamboj which is an instinct call and one based on the captain's confidence. So too Shardul vs Washington though conditions, and the workload with Bumrah and Siraj, will have a bigger say there. If Gill is going to…
Haha, this was in the @cricbuzz office. Everyone from my generation in Hyderabad batted that way.
Bats like someone from Hyderabad as well. @bhogleharsha @azharflicks
I read every one of your messages. Thank you. Cheers. Stay in love with our game.

You are very kind @blitzkreigm
My favorite line from that evening was @bhogleharsha’s “We have a surgeon at one end and a butcher at the other” What a day, what a moment! Sachin’s ODI 200 :) Still fresh! @sachin_rt
Incredible fight but it wasn't to be. True, England bowled magnificently but this is what sport is about; using the power of determination to overcome the shortage of ability. Bumrah and Siraj were magnificent, admirable and Jadeja has always been a tough cricketer.
