At @bethlemmuseum you can see the paintings of Charlotte Johnson Wahl. She was hospitalised for 8 months with #OCD in the 70s, but as @RachelSJohnson told us, painting was her oxygen, helping her through treatment. welldoing.org/article/how-ra…

#OnThisDay in 1547 Henry VIII died, aged 55. Not long beforehand he had he entrusted Bethlem Royal Hospital to the City of London. A portrait of Henry was hanging first in the Boardroom of the Hospital at Moorfields & subsequently at St. George’s Fields & now at Monks Orchard.

Jill Lockett has stepped down after fifteen years as a trustee of Bethlem Museum of the Mind, and eight years as Chair. Thank you for all you have done for the Museum, Jill. We will miss you!
