Now mainly just Newcastle optimism/pessimism. Views my own ✊
We must be swift as the coursing river, with all the force of a great typhoon

04:52 - @Lionesses won #EURO2025 despite leading for just four minutes and 52 seconds in the entire knockout stages of the tournament (including stoppage time). Battlers.
Has to be two of those, doesn’t it? Given the need to balance cost, age, PL experience, Wissa and Sesko still looks the best non-Isak outcome… albeit neither of those deals appear straightforward
🚨 EXC: Nicolas Jackson, Ollie Watkins, Yoane Wissa & Benjamin Sesko are all on NUFC striker shortlist 👇 BIG READ from inside team hotel below 👇
Again, again, again, I’m not saying Isak will stay, but Eddie Howe is the most cautious man in the world when it comes to being quoted on transfers and yet has once more said he’s “confident” he will. In fact, he appears happier to be quoted on that than guaranteeing new signings
Liverpool 🏆 Newcastle 🇪🇺 Arsenal 🇪🇺 Man City 🇪🇺 Villa 🇪🇺
What do you think? 🤔
Some weird responses to this, as you’d imagine, but I’d be particularly interested to know who’s bookmarking it and why. Struggling to see what the potential “gotcha” is there… I’ve not said he’ll stay?
Liverpool fans are very keen to tell Newcastle fans how they had to let Coutinho go and reinvest the fee, but they conveniently leave out the part where, as with Suarez, they first kept him when he wanted to leave and still got that massive fee at the end of it

"There is no individual bigger than the club." @alanshearer has his say on the latest rumours surrounding Alexander Isak 🗣️
Genuinely a shame this will tarnish Isak’s legacy - scored the winner in a cup final for us and he’ll get booed until he comes back for Bruno’s testimonial in 10 years time… #NUFC
Manchester United are interested in Bruno Guimarães and have received encouragement after tentative discussions with his representatives. This is all nonsense designed to upset my friend Dave the Newcastle fan
Re Isak, one response to this kind of thing I really liked was when Caicedo downed tools at Brighton in Jan 2023 and said he was leaving. And they were just like, well you’re not, have a week or two off and we’ll see you in Feb. And back into the fold he came.
I am a born-again Newcastle United optimist, but the idea that what’s laid out here is the “worst case scenario” is very, very amusing
Worst case scenario... We sell Isak for that paltry £120m (with approx £100m still to spend) Sesko 60m Wissa 40m Guehi / Scalvini 45m Trafford 35m MGW 60m = £240m spend Our worst case scenario doesn't look that bad if the club remember how to actually sign players again.
For those thinking sending Alexander Isak to a PIF club in Saudi Arabia is simple...
Feels very unlikely to me. Would be adjusted to nil profit vs book value by UEFA and would also require a full fair market value approval by the Premier League.
Some key points so far: No official transfer request, Al Hilal move ruled out and crucially at this stage NO offer from #LFC chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football… #NUFC
Newcastle United position remains the same. They continue to insist today that Alexander Isak is not for sale and he will not be leaving this summer. But they potentially have an unhappy player on their hands. Will take all Eddie Howe’s powers to get his head right before the…
